Meet Chien j. Wang

Chien J. Wang was born in Taipei, Taiwan. Chien immigrated to the United States with his family at the age of 11, and did not speak a word of English. He started doing odd jobs for neighbors, and had a paper route to help the family’s finances.

At the age of 13, Chien’s father started a food distribution business. Chien would work every day after school, and every weekend to help his father establish the family business. It was at his father’s food company that Chien developed his hard working ethic. He also learned that work could be fun, and very rewarding.

Chien worked through out his entire school career in preparation for his ultimate goal, which was to start his own business. He attended University of Southern California in Los Angeles, and graduated with a degree in business administration and entrepreneurship in 1991.

Chien finally realized his goal of starting his own business in 1991 by launching Toujours Products, Inc. at the age of 22 with $4,000 he had saved in college. The company distributed awards and personalized gifts to hundreds of retail outlets in the U.S. Chien, along with his company, was very well known in the awards industry. He spoke at many award industry meetings and tradeshows on marketing and sales.

But Chien did not realize how networking can be so important to his business and personal life until 2004. Chien joined an international business organization and was amazed at so many opportunities that he was never aware of. He learned from many people as well as forging many new business relationships. Through that experience, Chien was convinced that networking was going to be the central part of his business and life strategies. Chien became involved with many more organizations and developed into an expert in networking by attending ten events per week and experimenting with different innovative techniques to enhance his results.

Chien belongs to various professional and service organizations such as Awards Recognition Association, various Chambers of Commerce, California Association of Realtors, and Kiwanis Club International. He donates his time, speaking appearances, crystal awards from his company, and cash to various service organizations and community causes. Helping others to succeed in life is the core of Chien's networking beliefs.

Chien still runs the day to day operations of his company Toujours, Inc. He believes that staying active in business helps him stay current and up to date on the latest development in business and marketing. Besides running his business, Chien speaks to various business organizations and companies on the power and the art of networking.

Chien is much more than a hard working entrepreneur. He takes pride in being diverse with his knowledge and interests. Chien is also a historian, philosopher, world traveler, philanthropist and a photo journalist. Chien speaks three languages: English, Mandarin Chinese and Taiwanese. He is working on mastering his fourth language, which is Spanish. His mission in life is to touch and be touched by as many people as possible.
